SiO2 ceramic spray wax: professional bodywork protection in 10 minutes

What SiO2 ceramic wax contains
SiO2 (silicon dioxide) is the same compound that makes professional ceramic coatings waterproof. In spray waxes it is combined with synthetic polymers that make it adhere to the paint creating a hydrorepellent, anti-static and shiny sacrificial layer.

When to apply SiO2 ceramic wax
- Immediately after thorough washing and drying
- On already decontaminated bodywork (iron remover + clay bar)
- On clean paint, without dust or fingerprints
- In garage or in shade, never under direct sun
- Temperature between 5°C and 25°C
Application procedure (15 minutes)
- Wash the car with neutral shampoo (ideally Ceramic Shampoo SiO2 for pre-treatment)
- Dry with Super Dryer microfibre cloth, perfectly dry paint
- Shake the MA-FRA Ceramic Ultra Speed Wax bottle and spray 2-3 sprays on a panel (e.g. bonnet)
- Distribute with a clean microfibre cloth, always in the same direction
- Remove excess with a second dry microfibre cloth, until shine
- Proceed panel by panel on the entire bodywork
- Let cure 2-4 hours before exposing the car to rain
Cleaning and maintenance
To maximize the duration of ceramic wax, use pH-neutral shampoos for subsequent washes and avoid alkaline shampoos (degreasers, aggressive pre-wash products on painted panels). A monthly pass of Ultra Speed Wax keeps the effect at top.
Common mistakes to avoid
- ❌ Apply on dirty paint (wax binds the dirt)
- ❌ Apply in the sun (dries too fast, leaves streaks)
- ❌ Use cloths already used for other products (contamination)
- ❌ Spray too much amount (the layer must be thin)
- ❌ Wash the next day (requires 24-48h of cross-linking time)
