MA-FRA Catenoil is the professional lubricating chain spray by MA-FRA, specifically formulated for motorcycle drive chains and other mechanisms with chains, bearings, and components subject to high friction. Its high-viscosity adhesive formula penetrates the chain links and stays adhered to the surface even at high speeds and in the presence of moisture or dirt, ensuring continuous lubrication and protecting the chain from rust and premature wear.

Catenoil is suitable for O-ring, X-ring, and open chains. Its formula does not attack O-ring seals — an essential feature to avoid damaging modern chains that have internally lubricated pins. Thanks to the spray format, application is quick and precise, without excess that would attract dirt or stain the rear wheel and mudguard.

  • Brand: MA-FRA
  • Use: Motorcycle chain lubrication, bearings, joints, and chain-driven mechanisms subject to friction
  • Compatibility: O-ring, X-ring, and open chains — road motorcycles, enduro, motocross, scooters — not for bicycle chains in lightweight materials
  • SKU: MF-CATENOIL
  • Category: Motorcycle lubricants / Motorcycle chain care

Apply Catenoil to a clean chain (not a dirty chain or one full of previous grime). Spray on the inner side of the chain while rotating it by hand or with the engine off and the bike on the centre stand. Allow to penetrate 5–10 minutes before riding. Remove excess to avoid attracting dirt. Recommended application every 500–1000 km or after each motorcycle wash.

How often should it be applied?

Every 500–1000 km of use, or after each motorcycle wash. In rain or off-road conditions, apply more frequently to compensate for the accelerated lubricant loss.

Does the chain need to be cleaned first?

Yes, always lubricate the chain after cleaning it of accumulated grime. Applying lubricant to a dirty chain reduces effectiveness and accelerates wear due to the abrasive effect of particles embedded in the grease.
